Dr. David Friedman explains how some vitamins can actually be harmful to us!
Popular synthetic vitamins like Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Vitamin A are produced in labs with many hazardous chemicals.

The solution? Get your vitamins from natural sources like fruits and vegetables, as shared by Dr. Friedman.

Tone Your Abs Without Sit Ups

December 6th, 2009 by Charles 915 comments »

That’s right you can tone your abs without doing those dreaded sit-up or crunches.
Watch as Dr. David Friedman, CEO/President of Chews-4-Health shows you how to get six-pack abs without sit ups.

According to Dr. Friedman we all have a six pack of abs… it’s just that there’s a layer of fat covering them. :) So the idea is to burn the fat so that our six pack can show it’s presence.

Of course proper eating helps, but exercise is crucial!

Dr. Friedman says “Don’t do crunches, Don’t do sit-ups they are a waste of energy and can hurt your neck and back”.

Two of the absolute best exercises to do for abdominal belly and toning that do not include sit-ups or crunches.

Check out this great video and find that six-pack. :)

October 18th, 2009 by Charles 9 comments »

By: The Balancing Act & Dr. David Friedman

This is a great video describing the many free and sometimes unknown ways to lose weight.

Dr. Friedman of Chews-4-Health gives some really easy and neat tips for losing weight.

  • Not getting enought sleep has been linked to obesity.
  • Drinking ice cold water can actually help you lose weight
  • Drinking diet soda can actually cause someone to gain weight.
  • Never skip breakfast and eat 5-6 mini-meals per day.

Dr. David Friedman became frustrated by the void he found in the world of nutrition and spent almost 3 years formulating and perfecting his revolutionary product, Chews-4-Health…the VERY FIRST full spectrum super fruit/sea vegetable and antioxidant chewable in the world!

  • Weight Loss Challenge – What’s it mean to you?

A good friend and mentor of mine Rex Harris from http://www.yesterdaysfatguy.com
recently took on a new weight loss challenge that was issued by Israel Lagares at http://www.fatmanunleashed.com.

Basically the challenge was to take off your shirt while going through your weight loss journey. Not just taking pictures of before and after shots. But actually documenting your results to the world as they happen.

I’ve really got to give Rex a lot of credit for taking on this challenge and for making this video. What it tells me, is that Rex is committed and he’s willing to do what ever he needs to do to lose weight and pursue his dreams. It’s commitment like this we all need to follow. I’m not suggesting that you go out and take off your shirt. However, what I am saying and the point I’m attempting to make is that you must be willing to do what ever you need to do in order to accomplish your goals; as long as those goals are of a positive nature to you and those it may affect.

Check out Rex’s video, rate it and leave comments if you will. I hope this video inspires you to be all you dream to be. Dream big and never give up!

    Where Diets Go Wrong

Where Most Diets Go Wrong and How You Can Lose Weight and Keep it Off!
    By Charles Bell

When Deb and I discovered that we are heavier than we want to be, we have a natural inclination to eat less food. We may skip lunch or eat only a tiny amount of our dinner in the hope that if we eat less our body will burn off some of its fat. But that is not necessarily true. We’ve found that eating less actually makes it more difficult to lose weight.

Keep in mind that the human body took shape millions of years ago, and at that time there weren’t diets. The only low-calorie event in people’s lives was starvation. Those who could cope with a temporary lack of food were the ones who survived. Our bodies, therefore, have developed this built-in mechanism to help us survive in the face of low food intake.

When researchers compare overweight and thin people, they find that they eat roughly the same number of calories. What makes overweight people different is the amount of fat that they eat. Thin people tend to eat less fat and more complex carbohydrates.

Losing weight is not something one can do overnight. A carefully planned weight loss program requires common sense and certain guidelines. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of misinformation floating around and lots of desperate people are easily duped and ripped off.

Every day one can open an e-mail, magazine or newspaper and see advertisements touting some new product, pill or patch that will take excess weight off quickly. Everyone seems to be looking for that “magic” weight loss pill. Millions of Americans are trying to lose weight, spending billions of dollars every year on diet programs and products. Often they do lose some weight. But, if you check with the same people five years later, you will find that nearly all have regained whatever weight they lost. So it’s important to create a positive lifestyle that can help you maintain your health and weight while utilizing proven product like GBG’s Energy Matrix.

Being seriously overweight and particularly obesity can develop into a number of diseases and serious health problems, and it is now a known fact that when caloric intake is excessive, some of the excess frequently is saturated fat.

The myth is that people get heavy by eating too many calories. Calories are a consideration it’s true, but overall they are not the cause of obesity in America today. Americans actually take in fewer calories each day than they did at the beginning of the century. If calories alone were the reason we become overweight, we should all be thin. But we are not. Collectively, we are heavier than ever. Partly, it is because we are more sedentary now. But equally, as important is the fact that the fat content of the American diet has changed dramatically.

It’s common sense that tells us, if you don’t exercise you will gain weight over time. To avoid getting fatter over time, increase your metabolism by exercising regularly.

Select an exercise routine that you are comfortable with and remember that walking is one of the best and easiest exercises for strengthening your bones, controlling your weight and toning your muscles.

What we’ve found is that we need to create a diet that works with our lifestyle otherwise we are just spinning our wheels.  So find something that works for you and you will succeed!
